Well don't things look different this month? Since month seven my spirit has been expressing itself quite vividly and I've chosen to go with it for now. As you can see, the external results have been bigger hair and intensive shrinkage. I combined a few locs in the back using loc beads or rubber bands but after about a week I got tired of the rubber bands and untwisted and backcombed or palm rubbed the roots instead. Several of them have meshed and matted about an inch along and I have one loc that has formed very nicely since the end of summer:
Other locs are still figuring things out:

Things are progressing. They nt frolook so differem what I expected as they are nice and thick. You didn't say if your enjoying the process? Now that your at the 8 month mark.
ReplyDeleteHi Coco,
DeleteThats a good question. I wouldn't say I'm "enjoying the process". I will say I was prepared for it to take a long time for my desired locs to materialise but I never prepared myself for enjoying the months in between.
I do have good hair days and moments where I can't help but smile when I look at my hair in a certain way but I haven't reached the fun stage yet where I can style and colour when I want to so I'm just in anticipation. Almost like looking forward to party that hasn't started yet haha.
Wow you've come a long way! They look sooo cute!!
ReplyDeleteThank you msfullroller and appreciated :))

ReplyDeleteYou really have come a long way.
ReplyDeleteIt's the loc formation that takes the longest time, but clearly you are getting there.
I can already see that when you do get there. Them locs are gonna be real pretty.
How is your mum's hair doing ?
