Curly Edition: Bantu Knot Out

I'm intrigued by curls at the moment so I've decided that over the summer I want to try out some of the most popular methods for making locs, especially short, thick locs, curly.

I'm starting off with the classic Bantu knot out. No actual knots required you just sort of twirl each damp loc around itself onto your scalp. Almost in a cinnamon swirl fashion but each new 'swirl' goes under the one before so it resembles a knot. Leave in until 110% dry for best results. Mine dried in about 4hrs but it's been above 25 degrees rcently.




Not a huge fan I must admit. Still waiting on the length in the front and sides so they'll actually frame my face but until then I'm just playing around as curiosity got the better of me.

I did try this once before. Here's how they looked almost seven months ago (before combining):

      Hi MsP, glad you stopped by, the colour's actually very (intentionally) faded her as I've been washing it every few days but I'm glad you like it, it'll look fresher in next weekend :))

    You have me over here flailing about like a damn fool lol I love that color and style on you! I can only imagine what it's going to look like once you really get some length. Though for now, I could totally see you rocking some funky mohawks and retro updos with a scarf. Short hair has its advantages, rock it while ya still can! ;P

      haha Amaiya seriously I wish I had your enthusiasm for short hair. I do enjoy it but, as you were talking about face shapes, mine doesn't suit hair that's all up there. Perfect length for me would be 4 more inches. I'm hanging in there just wish my locs were hanging too but you're right it'll come why stress XD
